My wife and I have no bedtime ritual. In fact, my wife usually heads to bed at least an hour before I do. It was a rare occasion then, two nights ago, when we were both in bed together reading ourselves to sleep. After we closed our books and turned out the lights, my wife said, "I was watching the news on Somalia today. There was a two year old that only weighed six pounds... Goodnight."
A nice alternative to "sweet dreams."
